Exercise Class Information

Pilates Mat Classes - Casual, nine people maximum

Mat classes combine the mat exercises and principles of Pilates without using Pilates equipment. Instead you create resistance using your own body and gravity. Mat classes provide the essentials of a dynamic Pilates workout and are an excellent way to strengthen your core.

Pilates Reformer Workshop - 10 weeks, four people per workshop

Pilates Reformer workshops are designed to take you from the Beginner Level through to Intermediate. Our 10-week Beginners course introduces you to the fundamental concepts of core awareness, strength, and body alignment. As you progress and develop your technique, the workouts become more vigorous. We highly reommend that you complete the 10 weeks in sequence before you can advance to high level Reformer classes.

Pilates reformer equipment is used for small group Pilates classes to guide you through a series of controlled exercises  tailored to your abilit to improve your balance while strengthening and stretching your whole body.

Instructors

Cushla is a NZ Registered Osteopath and BodyTech MedFit Trainer. Cushla developed her Pilates after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Osteopathy. By combining her Osteopathic knowledge with Pilates, she can provide students with a deep understanding of their bodies and how they move.

Ilka has practised Pilates for over five years. Her passion began while she was a professional gymnast and she went on to develop her skills and own style while studying Pilates as part of her Masters in Sport Science in Leipzig, Germany. Ilka's classes incorporate a functional style that combines her Pilates knowledge and experience with her personal training and gymnastic experience.

Supervised StrikeTM High Intensity Training is an authentic high intensity boxer’s workout programme that includes skipping, shadow boxing, bag work, combination drills, and medicine ball mid section work for stronger abs. Supervised Strike is great for both men and women who want a high intensity calorie burning workout. It's also a great way to bust stress. All our trainers are qualified BodyTech Strike Instructors, guaranteeing safe and challenging workouts. Supervised Strike is suitable for all fitness levels and ages. So give it a go and get to the good bit faster!

Yoga

Consistently practising Hatha Yoga can return you to an essentially whole, joyful and peaceful state. It can help you reduce stress, increase your energy and improve your breathing, circulation, immune system and posture as well as making you more mentally focussed and in a "present" state.

Karla Brodie is an experienced and qualified teacher whose practical and intuitive approach leads students to a deeper understanding of breath, balanced posture and integrated movement.

Strike Classes - Free to members (max 10 people; $5 glove/wrap hire)*

Yoga Courses - Fees vary according to course duration and class structure**
