Golf Programme

The ‘Marcus Wheelhouse Golf Fitness Programme' is exclusive to BodyTech Supervised Training® Gyms and available to all members at no additional cost. This is a strength training routine that combines elements of Spinal Fitness Programme by MedX® with BodyTech's Supervised Circuit™. The utilisation of the Supervised Circuit™ allows the golfer to work all of the major muscle groups through a full range of motion.

The Marcus Wheelhouse Golf Fitness Programme only takes 15-20 minutes twice a week. Combined with the Supervised Circuit™, a golfer can expect to see improvements in their golf swing as a direct impact of completing this programme.

There are five main reasons why the programme will be beneficial to both current members and potential members who participate in golf.

The elements of the Spinal Fitness Programme by MedX® included in the Marcus Wheelhouse Golf Programme are the Core Torso Rotation™, Core Lumbar Strength™, and Core Super Stretch™.

The Core Torso Rotation™ is revolutionary in its ability to truly isolate waistline muscles. A separate system of padded restraints effectively locks the pelvis and prevents the hip and gluteus muscles from assisting in rotation of the torso. Core Torso Rotation™ increases strength and flexibility right at the core of the body. Not surprisingly, it's a favourite among golf professionals looking to increase club head speed.

The Core Lumbar Strength™ features a patented and effective pelvic restraint system that keeps gluteus and hamstring muscles from interfering with the targeted spinal muscular area. This provides isolation of the lumbar spine muscles, increases stability and allows for specific, intensive strengthening in one of the body's most vital and vulnerable areas. Regular use of the Core Lumbar Strength™ may help prevent injuries, remedy chronic back pain, and contribute to disc hydration.

The Core Super Stretch™ aids the golfer in improving their flexibility during the address, back swing, impact and follow through positions. Improvements will be seen in the flexibility of the lower back, hamstrings, inner thigh, and shoulders. These improvements allow the golfer to create an effortless swing with little or no movement restrictions.
